2 Meet Mr. Pug & Mr. Fox

Lovely readers!
I wanted to give you a short update about what's going on in my life right now after I moved home from Copenhagen.. I started working for a cool designer Jet Korine in the heart of Reykjavík.
I have gone few times to IKEA,  rearranged my room, painted some old chairs and tried to make some space for a home studio. I really want to start working on something excited on my own.
The first thing I have been making is these cute bow ties for boys, made of cotton and silk.
I will only make few of this type, so if anyone is interested just send me an email:

Mr. Pug - gray bow tie: wool mixture   /   Mr. Fox - navy/dark blue bow tie: 50% wool and 50% silk price: 3500 isl.kr.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

0 Wonderful Weekend

I'm going to set up my work-studio at home (wich has been in program for few weeks now), go down town for a coffee and new magazine, meet friends for a drink on Saturday night and maybe see a movie on Sunday. This weekend will be wonderful!

Favorite things to see or do around the web:

Be more organized with Any.Do,
Dance with Solange Knowles!
Sunday is a movie night,
Bake delicious lemon bread,
Dream about having a library at home,
Go back in time and remember the great and cool about the 90's
Dance with my little nephew, Feist and Sesame street,
Go to Ikea and buy this shelf for my inspirations,
Juice diet for 60 days, anyone? watch documentary Fat Sick and nearly dead,
dream about this beautiful vase designed by Þóra Finnsdóttir!

Have a wonderful weekend!

7 Copenhagen here I come

A one week from now I will be arriving to Copenhagen. I recently became a dressmaker and will be taking my internship at Bruuns Bazaar, which is one of my favorite danish fashion brand.
I'm very excited and ready to have some new adventures. :)

I will keep on blogging from Copenhagen and my sister from Iceland
so that will give some new angle to the blog.

Flowers make me happy, but they can be very expensive for student like me. So when I feel I'm in need for some flowers in my life I just go outside and pick a nice one from the garden. You can buy small vases in stores like Söstrene Grene or Tiger and I always put a small amount of sugar in the water so the flowers live a little longer and stay happier :)

3 Happy New Year!

When the new year arrives lot of people start thinking about their past, what could have gone better and what they should do differently in the future.
People set new goals and plans and that is what I am doing for 2012.
It's like a fresh start...

Goal #1 Write more handwritten letters.
I love getting letters, it can be very exciting to open one and I think it's much more personal.

Goal #2 Eat more fruits and vegetables.
It's a classic. It's good to start the year by eating healthy, especially after the Christmas delights.

Goal #3 Have a blast with friends and family
Spend time with the important ones in your life.

Goal #4 Take photos and develop!
I don't look through my photo folders on my computer that often, I must develop and put them in album.
- photo: fototiller.com

Goal #5 Read more books and watch some old movies
Finding a book that I get obsessed about and old film-noir movies are on my list.

Goal #6 Go out of the city more often
Take a road trip and see where it ends

Goal #7 Write a journal
It's so much fun to read it later on, keep your children's memories in one place.

Goal #8 Be fresh and keep the spirit up
Dress up and look fresh with nail polish or just a lipstick. It can make bad days better.

Make your own list, It helps you reaching your goals.
