0 Little house

I stumbled upon this little house the other day and wanted to share it with you. This house makes me think about the summer, garden parties, fresh juice... I can't wait for the summer!

2 Cozy garden in Reykjavík

We where invited to a cozy garden in Reykjavík. The lady of the house has planted lovely tulips in pink and yellow and some cherry blossom tree. The family enjoys gathering around for a brunch on the porch.

0 Before and After

When I was little I used to play in this cute hut beside my parents summerhouse. For many years it have been used as a storage because there were no children to play in it. Now time has changed with our own children so me and my siblings decided to fresh it up a little bit. I bought a cute stove, some kitchen stuff and chairs in a recycle store called Góði Hirðirinn and these little things did a whole lot.
Next step will be to fix the garden and paint the house on the outside.

0 Greenhouse

I am amazed by this small glasshouse that The Selby shared with us.
This idea of using different kind of windows arrange in unconventional way for your greenhouse is so inspiring.

0 Bird feeder

photo: borninsweden.se

The bird feeder is a clever design made by Pascal Charmolu of Made in Sweden. He is a French-born designer who learned and lives in Sweden.
In January we need to think about the birdies who struggle finding something in their pecks.
This cool bird-feeder fits on the window and gives you a close-up view of our feathered friends.
You can buy one here!

0 Garden lights

At this time of the year it is nice to decorate the garden with cozy faint lighting.
Lanterns and jars with candles, hanging from the trees lightens up the garden in the twilight.

Having herbs in your kitchen almost makes your fingers green.
The only thing you have to do to keep them alive is water them every other day.

I like the idea of putting your herbs on your kitchen window or
having a chalk pot with their names on.
