I love this idea.
The shelf is made of different-size boxes fitted together with nothing more than paperclips.
It's easy to make and can be arranged in various shapes and sizes. The colors that you add to it give each shelf its distinctive feature.
This one is exactly like I would want for my living room.

In this setup they use 14 paperclips and 14 boxes.
All you need is an PRÄNT box from Ikea, paperclips and paintings in your favorite color.
